Recapitulation
To date, the entrepreneurship phenomenon is characterized by several thrusts and conceptual frameworks. In this literature review, we provide an overview of over forty years of entrepreneurship research, thereby breaking down the phenomenon into five components: creator, creating process, new value created, close and remote environment. We also elucidate on the concepts of human and social capital, two variables that have been highly adopted to explain the influence of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs on new value creation.
